Teen AIDS drama has four shows left

DOBAMA

Cleveland-There are only four more opportunities to see Dobama Theatre's performances of Secrets, an AIDS awareness play aimed at teen to young adult audiences that explores issues of HIV infection and prevention among this increasingly high-risk group. A total of six free performances were scheduled in observance of AIDS Awareness Week, May 10-16, in conjunction with Kaiser Permanente's Educational Theatre Program.

Eddie's got a lot to look forward to another season as a letterman on the baseball team, a full scholarship to state, a budding relationship with his girlfriend. Find out how Eddie's life and the lives of the ones he loves change when the something that couldn't happen to him does. Secrets is a personal, thoughtful, sober and even humorous look at the world we live in a world where the AIDS epidemic has affected all of us, regardless of sexual orientation.

The production can be seen on Friday, May 14 at 11 p.m., Saturday, May 15 at 1 p.m. and 11 p.m., and Sunday, May 16 at 7 p.m. The 1 p.m. Saturday and 7 p.m. Sunday performances will be followed by an open discussion led by a staff member of the AIDS Taskforce of Cleveland. Admission is free.

For more information, call Dobama Theatre at 216-932-6838.
